Position Requirements
SHIFT: Part-Time 2:00PM to 6:45PM or close (Must be Flexible)
Performs tasks associated with the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. Uses established tools, equipment, and technologies required to complete transactions related to inbound and outbound processes with a distribution center.
JOB
Responsibilities:
Unloads trailers using material handling equipment. Stages, sorts, and stocks goods in appropriate locations, following defined procedures and processes.
Responsibilities will include labeling, sorting, consolidation, making boxes, and other packing functions as required.
Properly packs merchandise to ensure adequate protection and compliance with Hazardous Material regulations.
Selects the most economical method of routing to maximize service and minimize freight costs.
Complies with OSHA and Hazardous Material requirements in the storage and movement of regulated product.
Performs necessary housekeeping duties in order to maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent
Able to work at various elevated stations located throughout the facility
Able to follow directions
Self-directed, with the ability to work independently
Able to read numbers and symbols as directed on scanning equipment
Able to operate computerized scanning equipment
Able to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel on a regular basis
Able to push, pull, and stretch on a regular basis
Able to lift and carry objects up to 75 pounds
Able to maintain quality expectations in addition to meeting deadlines and productivity requirements.
Able to work in a team environment
Willing to operate all machines necessary to perform picking functions to include: Order Pickers and Reach.
Trainable to move cross-departmentally to support the outbound department.
