Position Description
This is a great opportunity to lead a great team in a high volume, order fulfillment, distribution center and to make a significant impact. The Senior Manager is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership. In this position you will administer all Outbound functions and the optimization of resources and processes while operating within budget. You will develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with company policies/procedures, continual process improvement and drive employee initiatives to create and promote an environment where employees are involved, empowered, and committed to the success of the Company.
Position Requirements

Bachelor degree in business, logistics, materials management or a related field of study preferred. MBA or advanced degree highly preferred.
5 - 10 years previous management experience in a high volume operation demonstrating an ability to establish a work environment that reflects and operates on the principals of mutual respect and courtesy, teamwork, accountability, and achievement.
An ability to evaluate overall operations and develop short- and long-term goals to meet organizational objectives. Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to drive results.
Ability to oversee distribution center services and warehouse operations to ensure company and customers requirements are met.
Ability to recruit, develop, and retain a high performance team at all levels within the organization. Actively manage staffing levels within indentified staffing bands from permanent associates, temporaries, and over-time. Oversee job assignments and lines of authority and makes staffing decisions as needed.
Experience in the design and implement continuous improvement and quality strategies to improve the quality of all warehouse quality control activities and to achieve high performance. Oversee department projects ensuring completion within scope, time, and budget parameters.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders to understand the business needs and then inspire, coach, and lead the warehouse team to meet or exceed these expectations. Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with all internal and external customers, vendors and business partners.
Ability to actively participate in senior management and executive meetings to share ideas, evaluate options and set policies.
Ability to insure compliance with Company, OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations with particular emphasis on hazardous materials and power industrial equipment requirements.
Position requires occasional travel to other DC's, corporate offices, and field locations
