Position Requirements
OUTBOUND PICKING DEPARTMENT
SHIFT: Full-Time 9:30AM to 6:00PM or close (MUST BE FLEXIBLE)
Performs tasks associated with the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. Uses established tools, equipment, and technologies required to complete transactions related to the Outbound Processes within a Distribution Center.
JOB
Responsibilities:
Performs scanning functions utilizing a RF unit (Symbol) to determine the correct product for shipment.
Verifies and obtains the correct item and quantity designated for sort destination.
Utilizes Best Demonstrated Practices for carton selection to optimize corrugate usage.
Prepares product for shipment to the sort destination.
Utilizes necessary equipment to transport picked product as an initial method or sorting.
Delivers product to the appropriate destination locations. (Conveyor system for Bins and Powered Industrial Equipment for Machines)
Actively participates in process improvements within the Outbound department.
Complies with OSHA and Hazardous Material requirements in the storage and movement of regulated product.
Performs ongoing housekeeping duties in order to maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.
Communicates location problems or discrepancies to appropriate lead, manager, or ICQA team member.
Complies with all Safety rules and regulations while performing job duties.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Able to work at various elevated stations located throughout the facility
Able to follow directions
Self-directed, with the ability to work independently
Able to read numbers and symbols as directed on scanning equipment
Able to operate computerized scanning equipment
Able to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel on a regular basis
Able to push, pull, and stretch on a regular basis
Able to lift and carry objects up to 75 pounds
Able to maintain quality expectations in addition to meeting deadlines and productivity requirements.
Able to work in a team environment
Must have experience operating all machines necessary to perform Outbound Picking functions to include: Order Pickers and Reach.
Must be able to train cross-departmentally to support the outbound department
