Apply now to start your journey! POSITION SUMMARY The individual in this role is accountable for the complete life cycle of inventory, which includes requisitioning and storing.
They are also responsible for related areas such as inventory control, discrepancy resolution, and inventory inspection in accordance with company regulations and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Utilizes a computer terminal to accurately account for issues, returns, and receipts of new materials and associated back orders.
Inputs essential data for all handled materials while strictly adhering to accounting procedures.
Conducts weekly cycle counts of inventory materials based on computer-monitored suggested re-order listings.
Assists in conducting complete physical inventory counts.
Organizes and maintains warehouse and inventory areas to optimize material storage and handling efficiency.
Implements and maintains a labeling system for each stock item.
Monitors all key functions related to inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Performs thorough research and documentation of inventory discrepancies, utilizing available resources to identify root causes and propose potential solutions.
Collaborates with key personnel to effectively implement process improvements, aiming to enhance overall location accuracy and productivity levels proactively.
Identifies and rectifies discrepancies at the location level, as needed.
Monitors warehouse and store transfers to ensure accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
Expedites the daily flow of all special order SKUs, including labeling, locating, and ensuring timely shipping.
Troubleshoots and resolves any issues related to special orders from the time of receipt.
Ensures that the unit of measure for received items matches the unit of measure for outgoing items.
Safely and promptly loads items onto material handling equipment.
Operates material handling equipment, including RF devices, weight scales, and powered equipment such as forklifts, pickers, or pallet jacks.
Inspects material handling equipment, structures, or materials to identify and address any problems or defects.
Participate in a collaborative work environment utilizing effective communication and willingness to cross train to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development.
Comply with comprehensive safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to ensure a secure work environment and maintain a safety-conscious culture.
Follow all 5S principles and guidelines daily to optimize workflow, efficiency, and a clean work environment.
Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required) Preferred:
High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification; 2 years' experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office and Outlook, ERP Systems preferred Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities.
Capable of following instructions and responding to management direction.
Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Exhibits experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
Has the ability to read and interpret various documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Possesses effective verbal and written communication skills.
