Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our busy optometry practice.
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support in a medical office setting.
Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk, check out, and maintaining a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner - Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the office calendar - Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments - Maintain patient records and update medical information as necessary - Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers - Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and faxes - Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality - Collaborate with medical staff to provide exceptional patient care -Reconcile end of day reports
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or medical receptionist role is preferred - Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple lines - Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures - Knowledge of electronic health record systems (Revolution) - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages for our employees.
