Manufacturing Engineer

Based in our SOUTHAVEN, MS location, you will be directly responsible for the application of industrial and manufacturing engineering policies and practices to improve operating performance, eliminate waste and delays and otherwise promote cost reductions and a high level of manufacturing efficiency.
IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
Identifying deficiencies in mechanical processes and developing improvements Designing and developing prototypes Analyzing and testing prototypes and each revision of a device Developing, initiating and managing all phases of projects Preparing documentation of critical analysis and providing suggestions for correcting errors Collaborating with Project Managers for proper allocation and tracking of resource Applies electrical engineering theory and the operation of electronic test equipment to design & functionally test and troubleshoot Electrical systems/Printed Circuit Boards or systems Support production team tasked with assembly, calibration and testing of electronic test equipment Diagnose and repair soldering issues Train new employees on through-hole and surface mounted soldering and soldering repair Other duties may be assigned WHO YOU ARE:

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering technology, or related discipline Prior internship or co-op experience in related Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering activities.
Knowledge of manufacturing practices and work measurement methodologies, Industrial Engineering analytical techniques Experience in using Lean-manufacturing tools and other continuous improvement methods is required.
One - three years of electronic design prototyping and/or repair experience Ability to design and build electronic test equipment, programmers and manufacturing aids Strong computer and software skills and troubleshooting ability Strong background in Electrical Engineering principles Knowledge of Analog/Digital Circuit Design (Instrumentation/Test & Measurement), Microcontrollers, Programmable logic devices (CPLD), electronic test equipment Position based on site PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:
Focus on Electrical Systems Master's Degree Three or more years of experience in related Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering activities Experience in electrical systems or a related environment Six Sigma training Knowledge of ergonomics, safety analysis, business intelligence, ISO, and SPC Our Offer to You:
