The Early College Enrollment Specialist will assist dual enrollment students with general questions about enrollment, course section, and transitioning to standard students after high school graduation.
The Early College Enrollment Specialist will also develop strong working relationships with district high schools to assist with the enrollment and registration of students each semester.
LOCATION :
NWCC Desoto Campus REQUIRIED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree required Proficient with using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.
) Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Process dual enrollment admission applications and additional paperwork.
Coordinate with the Office of Admissions and Records to ensure proper admission documentation is on file for each student.
Communicate with high schools about dual enrollment admission deadlines and required documentation.
Stay abreast of state-wide admission requirements for dual enrollment.
Ensure that admission documents and recommendation letters are accurate and updated as needed.
Visit local high schools to assist with admissions/registration and retention of dual enrollment students.
Provide guidance to dual enrollment students on course selection.
Assist with advising Scholastic Institute students.
Monitor phones and answer questions concerning dual enrollment.
Coordinate with other offices to assist dual enrollment students transitioning to full-time standard students.
Provide communication to dual enrollment students about student services and events on Northwest campuses.
Perform other duties as assigned by the District Director of Early College Programs.
